At the invitation of the Government of Japan, Rt. Honorable President Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari arrived in Tokyo this evening to attend the Ceremony of Enthronement of His Majesty Naruhito, the Emperor of Japan.
Upon arrival at the Haneda International Airport, the President was received by the Special Assistant to the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan H.E. Masashi Ogawa, Ambassador of Nepal to Japan H.E. Mrs. Prativa Rana, and other senior officials of Government of Japan.
The President is accompanied by Hon. Mr. Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’, Minister for Home Affairs and other high-ranking officials of the Office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Nepal.
The Rt. Hon. President will meet with the Prime Minister of Japan H.E. Mr. Shinzo Abe, tomorrow morning.
